Captain Euan Bowen

Commanding officer

Euan in a nutshell

Euan Vickers Bowen is a kind, gentle, soul when it comes down to it, and he's far more suited to acting that way. The crew even prefer him when he's like that, so that's when he actually gets some respect. He's been known to have occasional flashes of tactical brilliance, but the truth is that they're actually more down to luck and whatever film he'd watched the night before. Basically, think of Joxer from Xena: Warrior Princess and you've got a fair idea of our favourite Captain.
He's a child at heart, leaving a trail of action-figures and comics in his wake. 'You're only young once,' he says, 'but you can be immature forever.'

Commander Daria Sigma

First officer

Ratbat in a nutshell

With the possible exception of Leila, no-one really seems to know what to make of Urac Daria 'Ratbat' Sigma. She doesn't quite seem to think like other people, meaning she's not really smarter or dumber than anybody, just...different. Well, weird. OK, she's (to quote Tom Paris) a freakasaurus.
She's the lost daughter of Elizabeth I, but if her attitude to responsibility in the twenty-fourth century is anything to go by, it's no doubt neither a bad nor surprising thing that she didn't become Queen of England in the seventeenth.
Oh, and she's psychic, but this rarely seems to do her any good whatsoever.

Lieutenant Colleen Hick

Second officer/Operations officer - Seasons One to Five

Colleen in a nutshell

Despite her apparent doziness, there must be some kind of fire that burns within Colleen McKenzie Hick. Or, we'd assume so, since someone seems to be doing her job. In actuality, though, she's pretty aware: and certainly aware that the less you show off your abilities, the less other people expect them.
Colleen was tragically killed in an incident in the mirror universe. When the Compromise was destroyed, she gave her life to save her crewmates. Right at the heart of it, that is the kind of person she was.

Lieutenant Commander Carmen King

Second officer/Operations officer

Carmen in a nutshell

Rounding out the command element of the Compromise is the worldwise Miss Carmen. She strikes a strange balance between her two 'superiors'...in that she tends to make the decision first, then wait for them to finish wittering about duty and/or talk about themselves so they're in on it too.
She's definitely of the feeling that the Compromise should return to its glory days...as a ship of fun-loving, hard-drinking, highly-sexed bohemians who occasionally save planets into the bargain.

Ambassador Valentina Buj

Diplomatic officer - Seasons One to Six

Val in a nutshell

Valentina Buj has a diplomatic career spanning a long way back, at least as far as the twenty-third century, where she worked with the famed James T Kirk. This means that, like Ksenia, she joined Starfleet long before any of her friends, and certainly before the Compromise project was started. But, in spite of her veteran status, she has trouble with what the rest of us might call 'the real world'. So much trouble, in fact, that she often simply can't be bothered with it.

Lieutenant Ruth Crabb

Chief of Security

Ruth in a nutshell

If there was every any challenger to Ruth's position as security chief on the Compromise, they're probably in a wheelchair now. A small tornado of action, Ruth carries weapons everywhere, even when she's off-duty. In fact, she tends to carry more when she's off-duty. The woman is a brilliant strategist, usually because a security chief's strategy means working out how to get the most opportunity to hurt people. It's said that back on the Enterprise, Counsellor Troi once worked for hours trying to find a long-lost reason for Ruth's tendencies, only to finally announce, 'She's a goddamned maniac.'
Maniac or not, Ruth does have a soft side that emerges now and again. Not to mention a creative one, that has been known to manifest itself as knitting.

Counsellor Leila Fetter

Ship's counsellor

Leila in a nutshell

Given that the social experiment that forms the Compromise crew means that everyone on board is basically surrounded by their closest friends, one might think that a counsellor would have very little to do. Well, that one who thought that was Leila Karen Fetter. Given that she doesn't often have much actual counselling to do, this leaves her time free for other things, such as sleeping, drinking coffee, complaining and reading Terry Pratchett books.
Nevertheless, Ms Fetter loves to be a piece of the action, and loves to surprise people by saying that she wants to go on the next away mission. The surprise, however, tends to wear off when she says it almost every time.

Commander Ksenia Forde

Chief of sciences

Ksenia in a nutshell

Ksenia Forde was once blessed with a memory block concerning her friends the Evil Bunnies (many of whom now make up a large amount of the Compromise crew). Since arriving on board, though, it's all come crashing back to her. She seems to have adjusted OK - it certainly hasn't affected her scientific capabilities.
She does on occasion grow a bit weary of the strangeness around her - and this could be why she has the occasional hyperviolent thought - but usually something comes along that only she can fix and all's right with her once more.

Dr Graham Henstock

Chief medical officer

Graham in a nutshell

Now, Graham Charles Henstock is a man who loves his work, whatever it is. He especially loves it since being CMO means that he's his own boss and he can relieve himself of duty and get time off if he gets bored. People like Ksenia especially hate it, since he's also good at it.
He loves keeping the crew's morale up, and judging by the rumours of the practices he indulges in with others (mainly his nurses), that's not all he enjoys keeping up. Actually, he's not as disgusting as he's made out to be, but since he's the one making it out, that's fairly academic.
He's not exactly the most highbrow member of the crew, but doesn't particularly care who knows it.

Lieutenant Theresa O'Ferez

Flight controller - Seasons One to Five

Terri in a nutshell

Having a best friend who's engaged to a man she never sees is perfect for Theresa Kate O'Ferez. It means that she's just ripe for anything Tel's read in any of her 'modern women's magazines' - the ones Terri knows are the absolute truth.
In fact, even that aside, Terri loves giving people advice - on everything. After all, since she's experienced so much more of anything than any of the others, they'll appreciate it, right?
She's also often to be found lazing off at the conn, or gossiping with Colleen when she should supposedly be doing work.
Terri no longer pilots the Compromise after finally deciding that nobody appreciated her properly and that she wasn't coming back till they all came to her on their knees begging for forgiveness. This hasn't happened so far.

Lieutenant Sam Ogborn

Flight controller

Sam in a nutshell

Second only to Ruth in basic aggression and general passionate fury, Sam took a job driving the Compromise over one in security because the hours were better and he got to sit down all day. His enthusiasm for this job is only matched by his enthusiasm for controlling every single aspect of the bridge stereo. You do not change the station with this man driving.
In his off-hours Sam enjoys drinking (a lot) and rock-climbing (it't not good to combine the two) and relaxes by beating the crap out of holodeck characters using his various martial arts skills. Don't argue with him about which art is better. You'll lose.
Sam gets along very well with everybody, except when he's angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Chief Robyn Scholes

Chief engineer - Seasons One to Five

Bobbi in a nutshell

For Robyn Michele Scholes, running the fixit department of the flagship of the NSF is just what she's always wanted: she's doing something with her life that she enjoys, and it matters to someone out there.
She runs a tightish ship in engineering, which is unusual, considering the bunties down there get up to all sorts of stuff as soon as she leaves the room (and the fact that for some inexplicable reason she's allowed Chaedy to be her assistant chief). Whether this means that she can calm even the morst determined rabble, or that she can't leave a commanding impression is anyone's guess. She doesn't care.
She has also been known to bar Euan from sugar-based things when he gets too less-than-ideal at his job. This is, in her words, because she can.
Bobbi gave up the heady lifestyle of starship engineer when her children got to be too much to handle. She now inhabits a very large set of quarters in the Evil Bunny base in Scotland.

Lieutenant Nick Akhurst

Chief engineer

Nick in a nutshell

Nick was a late addition to the crew of the Compromise, but he fits in very well. Aside from being a very competent engineer he's an expert at rigging lights and sound systems and you would not believe what he can do with just half a roll of gaffer tape and some fencing wire.
Apart from his general friendliness and bonhomie, he has made life on board ship much more relaxed as he is good at keeping Graham out of trouble.
Oh, and he likes beer.

Transporter Chief Noomy Schwinghamer

Transporter chief

Noomy in a nutshell

Despite obvious adeptness at the job, not to mention enjoying it so much, Paneeta Schwinghamer continues to frustrate the other crewemembers with her loquacity. I mean really - talking under wet cement would be nothing to this woman.
The basis of her love of chatting with anyone she beams on or off or to or from the ship is probably simply because it's so great to actually have company in transporter room 7 every once in a while.

Lieutenant Suzy Styles

Diplomatic aide

Suzy in a nutshell
